St. Philip/Athens at Tekonsha Someone will get a win here. St. Philip went 0-8 with one game called off in 2025. Tekonsha went 0-9 last year and is actually 0-18 in the last two seasons combined. But, as we were talking about, in the first week of the high school football season, everything is possible. Both St. Philip and Tekonsha have visions of a winning season. For St. Philip, that belief became stronger as the Tigers added six players from the Athens football program in a new co-op after that school had announced it was cancelling all of its games. Those Athens players are also hungry for some success as they are only 2-16 the last two seasons. And, ironically, both of those two wins were against Tekonsha. So, it's possible it will be a winning night for two teams (St. Philp and Athens), not just for the third.
