The Bearcats are in a co-op with Pennfield and St. Philip in an attempt to get more athletes on the team. Beyond key returners Bryn Hall, Alexandria Smith and Charlie Buckley, BCC's roster included several athletes who are joining the sport for the first time. "We have an ongoing goal of building a strong, connected team. The Bearcats want their athletes to encourage one another, celebrate each other's accomplishment and form relationships that extend beyond the pool. By bringing together returning leaders, experienced competitors and athletes new to the sport, Battle Creek Central hopes to create a team environment where everyone feels valued and has an opportunity to contribute," Ashley-Wheeler said.
